Basic Biscuit Recipe
Simple and quick basic cookie dough.

Ingredients
- 250 g extra light margarine
- 300 g flour
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tsps vanilla
- 140 g caster sugar
Directions
- Mix butter and sugar in a large bowl with a wooden spoon.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla, briefly beat to combine.
- Sift flour into mixture until well combined. You might need to use your hands at the end to give everything a really good mix and press the dough together.
- Separate dough into 30 even-sized balls, squash flat with a fork. Bake in at 170 °C for 12-15 minutes,
- First, you need to prepare your baking trays by lining them with baking paper. Then preheat your oven.
- After creaming the butter and sugar together, add the egg and beat well.
- Add the condensed milk, vanilla, and golden syrup and mix well.
- Sift in the flour, bicarb soda, and cream of tartar and add a pinch of salt.
- Combine into a dough, kneading lightly.
- Form biscuits with a cookie press or roll the dough into balls.
- Place onto tray and flatten slightly with a fork.
