🧸 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Clean Out, Give Back, Earn Hours! 🧺
Your gently used items can bring joy, dignity, and comfort to families and organisations in need. At Volunteer Now, we’re calling on all volunteers to clean out their cupboards and donate items that still have plenty of life left in them!

💛 What We Collect

We gratefully accept gently used, good-quality items such as:

• 🧸 Toys
• 📚 Children’s and adult books
• 🏠 Household items (kitchenware, linen, décor, small appliances, etc.)

Important:

• Items must be clean
• Items cannot be broken, damaged, or missing pieces
• Only donate items you would proudly pass on to someone else

A donation of a reasonably sized box of suitable items will earn you 1 verified hour.

✔️ Refresh your shelves
✔️ Pass on items that can make an immediate difference in someone else’s life

Your donations help our registered organisations support children, families, shelters, community centres, and safe homes across South Africa.

📸 How to Claim Your Verified Hours

Once you’ve collected everything and it meets the donation requirements,

• Book your donation on the site.
• Download and fill in the delivery note so you can keep track. https://volunteernow.co.za/download-delivery-note/
• Snap a photo of your donation for your LO portfolio,
• Drop it off at the collection point with the delivery note, call before to arrange a convenient time, then
• Upload your proof of delivery and book your hours.

 Please note: Verified hours are awarded based on the value of goods or services donated, calculated at R250 per hour.

Volunteer now has a variety of organisations that need toys. Earn 1 service hour for 4 toys in good condition. Hours will not be awarded for damaged or broken toys. Drop off at any of our collection points. Mark you donation clearly with your name, school and grade for verification purposes. Remember to take a photo of you with your donation. You will find it useful for your final report and essay.
