Volunteer service hours completed with any of our causes are verified. Verified hours count towards volunteer service required by most schools and tertiary institutions.
To have access to the platform as a Volunteer or a Cause you need to be registered and logged in.

Volunteer Now gives registered Causes the chance to connect with Volunteers who want to offer their time, skills or goods to solve social problems and continue serving their communities.
In addition, the platform acts as a marketing platform, exposing the work that you’re doing.

To get the most benefit out of the Volunteer Now platform – we ask our Causes to focus on creating opportunities for volunteers to participate in. It is important to maintain and add fresh content. More importantly, be responsive and engaged – that’s how you’ll achieve maximum impact from our platform.

Register as a Volunteer
We source and provide volunteering opportunities to schools, teenagers, families and active citizens.You have to be registered and logged in to have access to these opportunities.
Once you are registered as a volunteer you have access to all opportunities available, based on your interests, skill and area. You will be able to book and participate in the opportunities offered. The Cause will verify your participation. You will be able to download your verified hours as a report. The report can then be submitted to your school or organisation for credit.

The platform provides a social environment where volunteers can communicate, participate and share their experience.
Registration is an annual subscription. For individual volunteers subscription costs R450 per annum, unless you are registered with a participating school.

Register as a School
Every IEB school and several other schools require learners to complete volunteer service hours as part of their Life Orientation curriculum. Finding volunteering opportunities for learners remains a challenge for educators and parents alike.
Volunteer Now removes the challenge and offers a one stop solution. Schools have got to be registered to have access to the platform, opportunities and reports available.
Volunteer Now offers your school registration, reporting and monitoring per student, per grade or per house.
We are able to offer a bespoke solution for volunteering hours based on skills, interests and area.
